Watch out for this BS TV. I was dupped for the NHL Playoffs and no where in the comminucation with this comapny is there any product registration code. I called them and they can’t asnwer my call-Leave a message. I called Visa and I have to take up my dispute with merchant.

i just got taken for 49.99 by dtvfotpc. i am not able to even get into a program to download. boy do i feel stupid. is there anything i can do to recover my money? i am going to call my visa now.

Thanks very much for this review. Ive wasted too much time and money trying to connect to tv over the internet mainly for premier league games. I reckon these scams are set up by Rupert Murdoch to convince us that Sky is the only real option!

G’day. That’s what I call a review. I received the offer for DTV4PC via Ashampoo and thought “this looks OK, it’s from a reputable firm…”, nearly signed up but thought I’d better do a search for comments about the product. Eighty percent or more of all comments says this is a shonky deal, a real furphy, not to be touched by a forty foot pole. I’m an old bloke (76) looking to keep the grey matter active and enjoy my PC, but thanks to you and similar I wont be touching this. Thanks mate, have one on me.

For you guys that have gotten suckered its also on Ashampoo, many of these are pretty much just scams and if you do download scan the software with as many anti virus and anti spam stuff.
You also might like to know that you can get the original type software from TVU for free from http://tvunetworks.com/ careful there are many spoof copies, this was also “sold” by Ashampoo in Germany and so on and so forth.
As far as I can work out they hijack programmes and then sell them on.
There was another guy in the UK and I tracked him down address and all got the download hits (about £400,000) and he lived in a council house in Kings Lynn. Notified the UK Norfolk police and because they are possibly the most corrupt in the UK they did nothing.

Thanks! I’ve been wanting to cut my cable TV down to basic because there is so little I want to watch. About the only channel I would miss is CNBC, which I have on in Picture In Picture mode while working on my computer all day, so I can keep up with financial news, which is sort of a “hobby” and helps keep me from losing my shirt at times. As long as that one is avail. on this, I can proceed to cut back on my monthly cable bill.

Well my question was if it play hd .The thing that troubles me is when a site has no contact information.So I run from the site if no contact because it smells of somethigns wrong .

Thanks, for this very helpful review. I too, along with my son was almost taken in by this scam with the hope that we could watch some sport channels for relatively little outlay. We would have been very disappointed!! I will not be purchasing this. Thanks once again Bob!
